The Harbour Passage Fund

The Greater Saint John Community Foundation has organized two community events (The Harbour Passage Garden Party) in 2004 and 2005, and is planning a third in 2006, to celebrate the success of Saint John’s waterfront trail, Harbour Passage. It involves dozens of community partners and is ensuring the “Cranberry Trail’s” long term natural beauty is maintained and enhanced. Key elements of the event include: community-wide partnerships, sponsorship by The Greater Saint John Community Foundation, cleanup, weeding, planting, compost and mulch spreading, refreshments/barbeque, special/expert/celebrity gardeners, and a warm welcome to the public.

CUPE Local 18 city outside workers hosted a barbeque with the profits going to a new fund for Harbour Passage.
