Cheryl Robertson is a distinguished Ms. Robertson has always been actively involved with community, charitable, and business organizations, including serving on the Boards of: The Canadian Cancer Society (national and division levels; past pres. of the CCS, N.B. Division); founding chair of the Canadian Tobacco Control Research Initiative; the Saint John Board of Trade; the Port City Rainbow Pride’s Interim Board; the Ms. Robertson’s long –service volunteer work with the Canadian Cancer Society was recognized in 2001 with a Certificate of Merit, in 2002 with the award of the Commemorative Medal for the Queen’s Golden Jubilee and an Honorary Life Membership in the CCS in 2003. The YM-YWCA of Currently, in addition to serving nationally a second term as a ‘’public representative‘’ with both the Canadian Institute’s of Health Research’s (CIHR) Stem Cell Oversight Committee and the CIHR’s Advisory Board of the Institute of Cancer Research, closer to home she serves on the Opera New Brunswick Board, the Imperial Theatre Board, the Y’s Council of Advisors, the Saint John Presbytery of the United Church of Canada and a member and student of the Taoist Tai Chi Society (Atlantic). Sara Mudge brings to the board an impressive list of community activities, talents, a background in engineering, and a giving spirit, which make her an up-and-comer to watch. The Saint John native, an electrical engineer and UNB graduate, is the Residential Energy Advisor for Efficiency New Brunswick. She provides advice to help New Brunswickers make energy efficient choices when upgrading an existing home or building a new one. Fluently bilingual, Sara was a part-time French Instructor at the New Brunswick Community College-Saint John. Past involvements with Engineers Without Borders and The Business Community Anti-Poverty Initiative have led to present volunteer service with Fusion, the Canadian Cancer Society's Relay for Life, the Saint John Harbour Bridge Authority, Teen Resource Centre and the Saint John Board of Trade. |

His Worship Mayor Ivan Court was first elected into council in 1998 and served three terms before being elected as Mayor in 2008. He retired in June 2006 after teaching for 33 years—seven years at Mayor Court has been involved with various committees and volunteer work in the community. His community involvement would include: President and Chair of Friends of St. Joseph's Hospital ; Former President of Saint John Figure Skating Club; Former Coach for Saint Malachy's High School Baseball Team; Member – Board of Directors-Centenary Square Day Care; Member – Portage N.B.; Coach Lancaster Minor Baseball Association; Coach Lancaster Minor Hockey Association; Member of the Nominating Committee; Member of the Environment Committee; Member of the Saint John Industrial Parks; Former Co-chair of the Mayor's Challenge Cup for area high schools in 2002; Canadian Committee on Shipbuilding and Policy; Former member of the Mayor's Committee for new revenue ideas for Saint John; Former first Vice-President of the Cities of New Brunswick Association for 2006-07 after having served as the 2nd Vice-President in 2005-06. Doug MacDonald, CA, CFP, received his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from St. F.X. University, his designations of CA in 1987 and CFP (Certified Financial Planner) in 1998. He has served his profession as President of the Atlantic School of Chartered Accountancy and on council and numerous committees of the NB Institute of Chartered Accountants, of which he is their nominee to the Community Foundation Board. At the community level, he has held executive positions and been active on the Boards of Saint John Board of Trade, St. F.X. Alumni, Hestia House, Festival By-The-Sea and volunteered for a variety of community events. With experience in accounting, taxation and business advisory services, Mr. MacDonald manages the Independent Business Group as a Principal with Grant Thornton LLP. He is a resident of Quispamsis and the father of two high school-aged daughters. |

Mike Murphy |
J.M. (Mike) Murphy was born in Sydney, Nova Scotia, later residing and working across Atlantic Canada. He is an active member of Greater Saint John's business community. His involvement in many community activities, coupled with a background in banking are assets for the Foundation. A graduate of Dalhousie University, the Institute of Canadian Bankers and the Canadian Securities Institute, he is Branch Manager for BMO at Market Square. As a nominee of the Saint John Board of Trade, he contributes to that organization as a Board and Executive member and to the New Brunswick Chamber of Commerce Board. He headed the Building Committee for Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish,, coached minor and high school -sports and sits on the Board of Rocmaura Nursing Home. Mr. Murphy, his wife Jill have three grown children and reside in the Kennebecasis Valley. |
Christopher Titus |
Christopher T. Titus, a native of Saint John, N.B., received his BA and LLB from UNB and is now a Crown Prosecutor with the Provincial Department of Justice. Chris has provided support to a number of local groups and is the Past President/Campaign Chair of United Way of Greater Saint John and their nominee to the foundation board. Chris was first elected to the Saint John Common Council in May, 1998. In his role with Saint John Common Council, Councillor Titus has served on a number of committees including the Preservation Review Board, Water & Sewerage Utility Appeals Board, Finance Committee, and currently sits as the Chair of Saint John Energy, Chair of Saint John Transit and Trustee of the City of Saint John Pension Plan. Councillor Titus has also served or is serving on a number of community groups and associations, including the Past President – Saint John Law Society, President – Lancaster Minor Hockey Association (and past coach), Treasurer – District 5 Minor Hockey Association and Past-Chair – Canadian Bar Association Criminal Section. He and his wife, Sharon, have three children, Rachel, Sarah and Christopher. |

Gerry McMackin is a senior partner at the law firm of Stewart McKelvey Stirling Scales. He has for many years been actively involved in a number of community organizations in the Greater Saint John area. He served on the Rothesay Town Council for 9 years and is Past President of the Union Club. He sits on the Executive Committee of Rothesay Netherwood and was Chairman of the Board from 1993-1997. He is Director of the Wiggins Home. He is past Vice- Chair & Secretary of The Greater Saint John Community Foundation and presently sits on the board of Community Foundations of Canada and acts as the foundation's Honourary Legal Counsel. |

Herménégilde Chiasson is one of Canada’s most accomplished cultural icons. At the time of his appointment, Dr. Chiasson was a distinguished member of the teaching staff at the University of Moncton, a position he has occupied since 1988. He has worked at Radio-Canada as director, playwright, journalist and researcher intermittently from 1958 to 1985. He was the director of the Galerie d’art de l’Université de Moncton (1974), founding president of Editions Perce-Neige (1984), president of Galerie Sans Nom (1980), founding member of the Aberdeen co-operative (1985) and the Imago workshop (1987), founding president of Productions du Phare-Est (1988), curator of the Marion McCain exhibit at the Beaverbrook Art Gallery (1994), and president of the Association acadienne des artistes professionnels et professionelles du Nouveau-Brunswick (1993-1995). Dr. Chiasson has participated in over 100 exhibitions and is the author of many books including Claude Roussel Sculpteur/Sculptor (1985) and Climat (1996). He wrote some twenty plays such as L’exil d’Alexa (1993) and Aliénor (1997). He has also published numerous magazines, works, collectives and anthologies of poems. He was awarded the prix France-Acadie in 1986 and 1992, the prestigious Chevalier de l’Ordre français des Arts et Lettres in 1990, l’Ordre des francophones d’Amérique in 1993, the Grand Prix de la francophonie canadienne in 1999, an honorary doctorate in literature from the University of Moncton in 1999 and, most recently, the Prix quinquennal Antonine-Maillet-Acadie Vie in 2003. Dr. Chiasson was born and educated in St-Simon, New Brunswick. He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Moncton in 1967, a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Mount Allison University in 1972 a Masters in Esthetics from the University of Paris (Sorbonne) in 1975, a Masters of Fine Arts from the State University of New York in 1981 and a Doctorate from the University of Paris (Sorbonne) in 1983. |
